Book Review: Angels, Miracles and Heavenly Encounters

I received this book free from Bethany House Publishers and the following review is my own personal opinion on the book:

There's more going on in the everyday life/world that we live in. The spiritual realm is very real and occasionally God allows us to see bits of it. Angels, Miracles, and Heavenly Encounters offers a everyday look at the supernatural world. It includes more than forty true stories of miraculous provision, encounters with angels and demons, near-death experiences, and remarkable rescues. The stories happen to real people and demonstrate small but mighty lessons of God's mighty works. Some of the stories are more simplistic and some hold greater intrigue.  They all, in my opinion, maintain life lessons that the individuals learned and were encouraged in their Spiritual lives. I was especially touched by the incidents that shaped or changed lives to appreciate basic everyday and not take life for granted.

This book encouraged and challenged me of the presence of God in my life and was a vivid reminder of the mighty God I serve. This book will strengthen and encourage you to not live a life of fear. It is a poignant reminder that we are not alone and our Savior knows and hears our prayers. I was especially touched by the power of prayer in several stories and how fully it impacted those being prayed for.

I would caution to not read to deeply into the stories but take them as a deep encouragement in the MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE.

Grayson at 8 months and Mommy

These capture my sweet fun loving little boy discovering how much fun it is to play with mommy's pretty flowers. I absolutely love the look on his face and how excited he is with himself.

The next picture is one I found of myself around the same age I thought it would be really fun to compare photos of us. I am thinking we share the same crazy grin! The picture says I am around 7 months and Grayson is 8 months but the resemblance is sure funny.

For You

This is the music video to the movie "Act of Valor". Joel and I watched it this last week and I have to say that not many movies really make you think beyond the film. I would definitely encourage you to watch the movie. It features real Navy Seals and the script does a wonderful job of portraying a strong lesson. I couldn't help but think how truly short our life on earth is and how willing I would be to die for another person or for the sake of Christ?

Interestingly this Sunday during church Pastor Heibert (chaplain for the Police  Dept.) spoke on fear and and how satan can use this in our lives. He touched on not living a life of worry and fearing things that happen in life but truly giving it up to Christ. I love the verses from Isaiah that he used and stressed many times on how we as believers don't truly put our lives in Christ hands and live a life without fear. What wonderful encouraging words to start out the week with.

"So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" Is41:10

awwww who can resist some precious little boys...i feel truly blessed!

Tball Game: Kadence batting

Kadence did a great job this season at Tball and really loved to play. He would try so hard and towards the last few games had a few decent hits without the "T". I shot this video about half way through the season and they are playing some kiddos from Three Forks. I love the look on his face as he is running to first!

T-ball Time

Yes it has happened to me already..my handsome little man is playing T-ball and I am partial but he is so stinking cute in his little uniform. He is a lefty so daddy has been spending time working with him and he is learning so fast. I must say he can almost through farther than his mommy and probably catches better. It has been a lot of fun for Joel and Kadence to do together. I am amazed at how quickly he has learned and taken to the game. Yes this is one proud momma!

Some Crazy pictures this Spring.

ok here are some goofy and cute pictures from the last month that I have had on my camera. As you can see Kadence does a wonderful job of entertaining Grayson and they are so cute together.

Kadence Skiing Lessons

For the month of March Kadence took skiing lessons at Bridger Bowl the lessons involved teaching the basics such as putting on your ski's by himself, stopping, riding the lift, turning and the basics. I was so proud on him as by the last(5th lesson) day he skied behind his instructor and was able to effectively stop and do turns. It was really fun to watch him progress and learn so quickly. He even graduated to the next level for next years lessons.
The following photos are from the first day of lessons..it was good I took them on this day as I really didn't see a lot of him after that because they were further up on the mountain. It was a good thing I had my other buddy Grayson to keep me company while I waited!

The lessons always included a snack and potty break..it was cute to watch him with his buddy.

I would like to point out again this is the first day and by the last he was quite good and going down the main mountain(green runs by himself) .
