Kadence looked too cute in his Church clothes on sunday that I had to take a few pictures of him. I am learning alot about color-balance and Aperature in my photography class so it has been fun to experiment. I am not very happy with my settings on these but the subect was so cute that I wanted to share them anyway. Also if you are wondering about the brown spot on his nice white shirt that is a chocolate mark. What was mommy thinking buying a white shirt for her 3 yr old ? :)

Easter Eggs & A Little Bunny
Life's tiny delight's can be found, I believe, in the eyes of a child enjoying something so simple as dyeing eggs. I believe it is the time we spend doing things together with our children that those are the moments they will remember and cherish. I was so vividly reminded of this principle today !
Therefore tonight we rolled up our sleeves and prepared to become colored. A little color did get onto the eggs but also a fair amount onto our little fingers (and my table). Anyone know how to get that crazy stuff off wood ? I had to include a few preparation pictures as they really made the sequence. Kadence called his egg which you can see in the 4th picture a "dinosaur egg", he very patiently colored his work-of-art with the clear crayon before dunking it. Crazy thing is it actually does look like a dinosaur egg or at least what I think one would look like. In addition Joel decided we needed our new Angora Bunny "Buster" included in the egg pictures. Happy Easter and please remember the true reason we celebrate our risen Savior.
Renaissance Blog with Rebbecca has many more interpretations on eggs this week. Go explore !
Easter Eggs in the Snow
Our local fire department hosted a community Easter Egg Hunt this weekend and in typical Montana fashion it snowed a couple inches on the morning of the hunt. Montanan's don't let snow stop us though and things proceeded as normal in our world. It actually made finding the eggs easier as the bright white snow made the colored eggs stand out very well.
Introducing..........BUSTER THE BUNNY
Yes you heard me right ! In an act of probally sheer insanity Joel and I bought Kadence a Angora Bunny this week. We decided on the name BUSTER and he is too cute for words. A very gentle and playful bunny we have already had so much fun with him. Since it has been really cold outside right now he is living in a little kennel until he is large enough for his big cage. I was able to shoot a few cute pictures of Kadence and him the first time they met. I think the looks on Kadence's face say it all.

Movie Date Day
I took Kadence to this 3D movie today in the theatre and I must say I think I had allmost as much fun as he did. We had so much fun and eat so much popcorn that our stomachs's hurt ! Let me tell you the sight of a 3 yr. old with big blk 3D glasses on chomping on popcorn was about the most hilarious sight i have seen in a while. I really needed a lighthearted day and this was the perfect solution.
It is about a little viking boy that is training to be a dragon hunter and instead ends up training one and learns to ride the dragon. It didn't have any crazy scary parts and the animals are pretend real animals that don't talk. They are very similar to dinousars which is what held the facination for my "little man". If you have a rainy afternoon like us today check it out with your kids.

Baby Chicks
I had so much fun this week capturing some pictures of baby chicks with Kadence. This was our 3rd visit to the store to view the new chicks and I must say mama allmost caved in and bought one this time for her little boy. Literally the only thing that held my impulsivness in check was my dear hubby's "threats" if I brought one home. It was so much fun to see the different types of babies. They had Geese, chickens, turkeys and ducks all within a week old. Some of then didn't even have there eyes open yet! To me this week CHICKS defined spring time and the possibility of new life. I love the fresh start on life and all the possibilites that await, even a baby chick, at the beginning of life.

Foto Friday: Green
This week has been rather crazy for me as I had to work several days, so my photo contributions are very skim but I really wanted to add a couple for fun. Our friends that live way back in the mountains hosed a St Pattys Party on Wed. and I forgot my camera. So you have a couple pictures of the Irish beer and a crazy party picture of myself , Melissa and Yvonne. I can't say I am too proud of these but they will have to suffice. Happy Green Days internet friends ! Check out Rebecca's Blog to see some more fun with Green.

A helicopter ride through Gallatin Canyon
Women in Flight...for our exciting rider over the Gallatin Valley we all received a commemerative certificate celebrating women flying for 80 yrs. It was such a beautiful clear day so I had a great opportunity to take some ariel views of the valley. We started by Belgrade, continued south towards the canyon and then veered west towards Three Forks/Manhattan until returning back to Belgrade. Heli flying is very exciting and allows the passenger much better views than one would receive in a standard airplane as it can get much lower and closer to the ground. This also allows for more stomach turning excitement and a little more adventure. I was accompanied on our flight by my friend Yvonne (Left) and our Pilot friend Vicki(Middle) .
